About the Competition
The San Diego’s Intl Film Festival’s FOCUS on Impact Education Program provides a forum for high school and college students to explore a variety of complex social issues with screenings of short films, curated curriculum and interviews with filmmakers.
We are excited to announce our new FOCUS on Impact Student Art Competition & Exhibit that will challenge students to create artwork designed to raise awareness of social impact issues such as inclusion, equality, cultural identity, climate change, pollution (ocean, land, thermal, plastic, soil), autism, immigration and refugee issues.
We have carefully selected a limited number of middle and high schools in the county to take part in our program with our aim to gradually increase the scope of this initiative. This program will showcase the innovative and analytical abilities of students who have pursued visual arts education.
