Ludvina Nevarez Joins San Diego International Film Festival Board of Directors
The San Diego Film Foundation, best known for presenting the San Diego International Film Festival is thrilled to announce that Ludvina Nevarez, is joining their Board of Directors.
San Diego International Film Festival Board Member, Ludvina Nevarez shared:
“I have been an avid friend, patron and supporter of the festival for 7 years now, and am vested in their focus on the power of perspective – of sharing films that create community dialogue on important topics. The staff at the festival is passionate and proactive in their procurement of films that both educate and entertain – and both independent filmmakers and the major studios are responsive to that passion. I look forward to working alongside the festival and continuing to grow its reach.”
CEO and Artistic Director of the San Diego International Film Festival, Tonya Mantooth shared:
“Ludvina is a force in San Diego – connecting to organizations whose mission she feels strongly about and raising awareness across the community. Her sense of justice and empathy is central in all of the work she does. She feels as strongly as we do about championing stories that effect change – and we are thankful and honored to have her on our board of directors.”
About Ludvina Nevarez:
Ludvina Nevarez is a successful Real Estate Broker/Investor, Art Researcher/Collector and a passionate philanthropist. She is a Founding Patron of the San Diego International Film Festival and is involved in many community organizations at board, advisory and active levels.
When asked about her high energy level and enthusiasm for life, she credits it to her 30 years of running which include several marathons, and her family of four grown married children, grandchildren and the love of her life, husband Sonny.
Ludvina has gracefully accepted to serve on the Board of the San Diego International Film Festival, an organization she has enthusiastically supported since 2012.
PAY IT FORWARD, Ludvina says, like the title of the film. If each and everyone of us would do random acts of kindness on a regular basis, our world would definitely be a better and happier place to be. She practices it, one act of kindness at a time…
