Undeliverable – Prime Profits. Poor People.

Behind the promise of same-day delivery lies a human cost few consumers ever see. Undeliverable – Prime Profits. Poor People. is an investigative feature documentary that pulls back the curtain on the vast delivery network powering one of the most successful companies in modern history—and the workers and small business owners who say they are paying the price for our obsession with speed and convenience. At the center of the film is Amazon's Delivery Service Partner program, a system that relies on thousands of independently operated delivery companies and the drivers they employ to move millions of packages from warehouses to doorsteps every day. On paper, these DSPs are independent businesses. In practice, former owners and workers describe a very different reality: intense performance demands, relentless delivery quotas, algorithmic oversight, financial pressure, and a system in which enormous responsibility can be pushed downstream while control remains firmly at the top. Through intimate interviews with current and former delivery drivers, DSP owners, warehouse workers, families, labor advocates, industry experts, and others who have experienced the system firsthand, Undeliverable examines what happens when the race for faster, cheaper delivery collides with the realities of human labor. The film follows the money as well as the packages—asking how a corporation capable of generating extraordinary revenue can operate a delivery ecosystem in which some of the people responsible for its final and most visible mile say they struggle to build sustainable businesses, maintain financial security, or simply keep pace with the demands placed upon them. But Undeliverable is not simply a story about Amazon. It is a story about the economic bargain America has made in exchange for convenience. Every time a customer presses “Buy Now,” an enormous invisible machine goes into motion. Warehouses, algorithms, contractors, dispatchers and drivers race against the clock to fulfill a promise made on a computer screen. The consumer sees a package waiting at the door. Undeliverable asks us to look at everything—and everyone—that came before it. In an economy increasingly built around speed, automation and corporate scale, the film poses a simple but uncomfortable question: When convenience becomes the product, who ultimately pays the price?
