The Red Mountain region of southern Arizona, on the US–Mexico border, is known for starry skies and unsolved missing persons cases. Following the discovery of a dismembered body and the implementation of a region-wide curfew, Tom, a local rancher, picks up a hitchhiker on a dangerous stretch of road. What begins as a chance encounter and act of goodwill quickly devolves into a nerve-shredding game of cat and mouse as the two strangers' true motives are revealed.
