People can be very cruel to animals, and I want to highlight that cruelty through this piece.
My work raises awareness on animal abuse. From animal testing to mutilation of animals, this topic really upsets me, as I love animals dearly.
People can be very cruel to animals, and I want to highlight that cruelty through this piece by the imagery of this dog wounded and being surrounded by threats. The coloring is meant to almost scream in your face about this issue. I specifically chose a Chihuahua to represent this as I noticed Chihuahuas tend to be commonly abused, but that goes for any dogs.
