Synopsis: The central idea of the film is that we need each other in order to survive this thing called life. As we approach the 50th anniversary of the release of the Vietnam Prisoners of War, surviving P.O.W.s share their harrowing and ultimately inspirational story of survival and how it is relevant today at the United States Naval Academy. The setting of the film bounces back and forth between Vietnam and The United States Naval Academy as half of our characters are Academy graduates. The themes we will address are: Communication, Trauma, Post-Traumatic Growth, Unity, Humor, Family, Stoicism, Education, Leadership, Disinformation, Solitary Confinement, Suicide and Faith. The film ends with the return home of the P.O.W.s in February, 1973. In the aftermath we hear some of the lessons we can take from their lives.
