Our Making A Difference for Nonprofits Program is designed to create a revenue source for nonprofit organizations.
Purpose
The San Diego Film Foundation’s Making A Difference for Nonprofits Program is designed to create a revenue source for nonprofit organizations by offering special pricing for the San Diego International Film Festival with a portion of the proceeds rebated to the nonprofit.
The benefit for the nonprofit is that it is a turn-key opportunity to provide added benefits for the nonprofit’s members/supporters and generate revenue for the nonprofit.
The benefit for the San Diego Intl Film Foundation is to introduce a broader audience to the vast scope of documentaries, shorts, and feature films submitted each year to the Festival from over 65 countries.
How It Works
The SDFF Making A Difference for Nonprofits Program is easy to execute.
- The nonprofit provides basic information about their organization to SDiFF
- 501c.3 status
- Current list of Board of Directors
- Current list of non-profit’s management team as well as designated manager for this program
- Approximate number of members/supporters on promotional lists
- Mission of the non-profit
- The San Diego Intl Film Festival agrees to the following:
- Assign a Promo Code unique to the nonprofit for tracking purposes
- 10% discount on Festival Passes (VIP, Fest, Weekend, Day Passes) to anyone using the nonprofit’s promo code. Discount is passed on to the purchaser at the time of purchase.
- 10% rebate to the non-profit based on sales of passes to the San Diego Intl Film Festival.
- Payment of the 10% rebate to the non-profit is paid within 45 days after the close of the Festival. 2018 Festival is October 10-14, payment would be made by November 30, 2018.
- The nonprofit agrees to:
- Promote this opportunity to their members/supporters via any or all of the following:
- Emails (minimum of 3)
- Newsletters
- Postcards/letters
- Handouts at events
- Logo and explanation of the program included on the organization’s website
- Other opportunities as appropriate
- Promote this opportunity to their members/supporters via any or all of the following:
- The San Diego Film Foundation agrees to provide:
- Permission for the nonprofit to identify as a partner of the San Diego Intl Film Festival Making A Difference for Nonprofits Program including use of the Festival logo
- Festival information including dates/locations/special events/etc.
- Recommendations of specific documentaries/films that may appeal to the core mission of the nonprofit

Email info@sdfilmfest.com with the required information. Allow approximately 10-14 days for processing and assignment of the promo code.
*This program may become full and the San Diego Film Foundation may not be able to fulfill all requests.
